The Accomplishments of Now! Across the Globe
Established in 1992 by Fran Henry, Now. U.S. has continued to identify, refine, and share effective ways for individuals, families and communities to act to prevent child sexual abuse before children are harmed - and to get help for everyone involved.
- Shifted the prevention perspective from child to adult; from victim to person abusing
- Demonstrated that people can have conversations about someone's warning signs
- People who want help with unwanted sexual thoughts and behaviors that could harm children will reach out for help when offered
Stop It Now! UK and Ireland was established in 2002 by The Lucy Faithfull Foundation – the only UK wide charity dedicated solely to preventing child sexual abuse.
- Offers support across all of the U.K. including Scotland and Wales
